Principal's Welcome

Jennifer KnightWelcome to Earlham High School!

We just celebrated our 150th year (1871 - 2021)!! GO CARDS!! Our Cardinal Family remains small but mighty, and extremely proud with our numerous academic, athletic and fine arts achievements.. Our tradition of excellence, involvement and support has encompassed two centuries and will continue to be the best school to prepare a student for their next chapter in life.

EHS students are involved! We are a small enough school that you can try a new activity and we work together to make sure students can be involved in multiple areas. We have lots of ways to be involved from athletic teams to FFA or Student Council to volunteering with Silver Cord to clubs to our fine arts programs with speech, musicals/plays, band (marching, concert, pep and jazz) and choir and so much more. We believe that being involved makes a student more well-rounded and develops important life skills such as leadership, collaboration and time management.

Though small, we offer a wide variety of Career & Technical Education (CTE) courses such as: construction technology, business and marketing, health sciences (including CNA), agriculture as well as information technology ones in graphic design and computer science. Many students earn college credits through a DMACC online or concurrent course or through Madison County Career Academy courses. Please see our Course Catalog for more information. We feel It is important to use the high school years to identify career interests and passion areas so we can develop a post-secondary plan for success for each student to put into place after their graduation.

Not only am I a former teacher in our district, and now the Secondary Principal, but I am a proud Cardinal Mom. I have been in the district for 20 years (in education for 30 years), and all three of my own children attended school here K-12. They are proud EHS Alumni (Class of 2015, 2018 and 2021) well-prepared and successful in their next life chapters. I welcome the opportunity to serve students, parents/guardians and our staff as I truly love being a member of our Cardinal Family.

On behalf of the staff, we welcome your feedback, input and involvement as we strive to be our most effective and supportive of you and to make these four years awesome while ensuring each student graduates with a personalized plan for their next life stage!

MAKE it a Great Year!
